Townhouses are either single or double storey stand-alone dwellings on their own small plots of land. They often share common land or facilities such as driveways with other dwellings in the complex and are the preferred type of housing for a growing segment of our population, making them great investments.
A large proportion of my personal property portfolio are townhouse complexes that I’ve developed and kept as they provide modern “house style” accommodation on compact blocks of land.

a. Many Australians still tend to prefer “house style” living with a backyard and privacy, but don’t want to spend their spare time watering the garden or pulling out weeds.
b. Townhouses and villa units require less maintenance than houses.
c. Apartment buildings don’t provide the same level of privacy as a townhouse property.
d. In apartment developments occupants are restricted from playing music too loud, may require approval to have a party and are often prohibited from having pets in the building.
